Hacking always gives a pleasure. Like I have my own hacked DVD player that I have owned for over 3 years now. See, so far, the fine Phillips player hadn't given me any trouble with any DVD; maybe because 50% of them are National Market loot. The remaining 50% had been friendly, so far, too. Anyway, I had no clue that the darned thing, the player, I mean, was region locked. So, after watching My Fair Lady and Casablanca, I wanted a dose of my latest favorite.
Now, I am not having the most favorable of times. My wedding jewelery has been very carelessly misplaced. I really need to keep busy in cinema and books, you know, and refrain from crying, giving the careless ones a dressing down or cussing. But the bad luck persisted, so when I tried to play my Original, Indian, Ratatouille DVD on my original Phillips player, it coughed up a "Wrong Region" message. Of course, I didn't panic much. Google saved the day yet again for me, so here I am, about to watch my favorite movie munching on my favorite Doritos and Bacardi Breezer. Heheh. Here's the hack for my player:
