I Love Paris

Feb 19, 2008 17:38

To say that I love brooches and paintings and perfumes, is an understatement. I have owned a few in the past, but since arriving in Brussels, I have been dreaming of shopping in Paris like a little girl let loose in a doll store! And it did come true...

We made two trips to Paris - one was for Paris alone and the other was a day stop at Paris on our way to Dijon; the second stop was reserved for shopping and shopping alone! Not only are the prices reasonable, the designs and patterns are mind bogglingly attractive. Paris is about 10 steps ahead of the rest of the world where style and living is concerned. So, along with a few clothes and shoes, I picked antique finish brooches and stuff from Monic:

I skipped the typical dragon fly shaped brooch, because it was available aplenty, but I picked other bugs and couldn't be happier!

Oil Paintings of the streets near Notre Dame are stuff of legends. I didn't shy from picking one, but played safe:

I also picked up a designer fragrance from L'Artisan in Paris:

When in Dijon, along with the food, and Opera, and wine, and mustard, I was surprised at the number of options available for shopping. So, I din't miss the chance of grabbing some street fashion perfumes and cosmetics and hair accessories at Reserve Naturelle:

The workload has been unforgiving, and with about 10 more days to go in Europe before we return, am scrambling to pick up as many things. I still haven't bought the many shoes and clothes and paintings that I had liked, but I sense that this isn't my last time shopping in Paris! ;)

I am not done yet!
