Chapter 2: TheUniglobe Nightmare

Jan 15, 2008 23:36

In 2006, when my virgin passport went through the same travel agents (Uniglobe) for Egypt visa, it had come back with a severe damage. There was an ugly stain, which could be anything from tea to juice to some other liquid, seeped through 4-5 pages. A NEW passport. Damaged. Damn! And they said it was already so.

Hello! Hello!

The passport is new. Never used before. Was in the same envelop, waterproofed too. How?

But alas! There was no way to prove it and I paid a fine of 2,500/- to get a new passport. God damn these nincompoops!

Later, I came to know that Arvi also had a difficult experience with these jokers. They had misplaced one of his passport booklets. When he asked for it, they said he had never given it to them! If he had not threatened them with dire consequences, they would have stuck to the same excuse. But when he did threaten them, miraculously, the lost booklet reappeared. What morons!

Why the same agents are still being engaged?

Search me, but I have made up my mind to never get any visa related stuff done through Uniglobe. Never, EVER.

uniglobe, personal, atb, travel agent, visa
