(no subject)
So I organized the Face Painting (a.k.a. Rang Barse) contest at the office yesterday. It was lot of fun. Nine faces got painted and the participants showed a lot of enthusiam, so did the audience. I mean, I had low expectations since most people were on leave this week. Surprisingly, we had a noisey event with the turnout of about 20-25 ppl in all. It was awesome!
This is the winner.
This was my favorite art - traditional, pretty painting.
And this is my mom's favorite. The theme was Jungle Book, so you can see migrating camels at dawn, mowgli's face, Chameli's guardian aura, and hummingbird and flower and rain just for the heck of it. Tee Hee. Maa didnt know who the artiste was :D
I later told her that I did this and she was mighty miffed at my not winning the prize. She said, if she were the judge, this would have won. Mommy, sweety pie!

We had wanted to preserve our tradition of getting neutral judges, so I needed someone to help me out here. Jay, because I thought he might have a govt holiday on Holi, but he didn't. Ganesh, because he owed me one for the deleted LJ scare, but he chickened out. Hmph! Our in-house judges didn't gimme or my favorite a prize, so I think the next time, I will have to bully someone in.
