Walker’s lead in Wisconsin recall election tightens in new poll:
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (Morry Gash/AP)Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker maintains a narrow lead in his recall election, but his standing has diminished in recent weeks, according to a new poll released on the eve of the election.
Walker leads Democratic challenger Tom Barrett, the mayor of Milwaukee, by just 3 percentage points in a new survey of likely voters (pdf) conducted by Public Policy Polling. Walker leads Barrett 50 to 47 percent, down from the 50 to 45 percent matchup PPP found in a poll conducted three weeks ago. The margin of error for this week's poll is plus or minus 2.8 percentage points.
According to PPP, Walker-who was targeted for a recall after waging war on state public employee unions in 2011-is winning among men, whites, seniors and residents of the Milwaukee suburbs. Barrett leads among women, minorities, young voters and residents of Milwaukee County and greater Madison. Barrett is also winning independent voters 48 to 46 percent, a lead that is within the margin of error.
Currently, polls, campaign finance statistics and anecdotal evidence suggest Republicans are more engaged and excited than Democrats for the June 5 race.......

**THIS HERE IS A CROSS POST, (as I'm too ill to finesse), so I am providing various info, and asking everyone to DO WHAT YOU CAN TO SUPPORT TOM BARRETT IN WISCONSIN! Emails, posts, phone calls, drive there and march peacefully! I noticed there was a drone on display at the Rockford, IL Airport, but never heard of any protests by OCCUPY ROCKFORD!. (Maybe those folks were arrested in the NATO protests)! Well, please link up with that group and see what you can do today for the Walker recall vote tomorrow!!
I am not left or right, I am pro-people, pro-sanity - just like Ed Schultz, or ALEX JONES vs BILDERBERG. ( And some RON PAUL Ayn Randers need to know that it isn't just Fed/SPENDING/debt vs AUSTERITY FROM THE PEOPLE!) ( AUSTERITY DOESN'T WORK!) Although Alex Jones attempts to be fair, he often does idiotic things, like accepting the Limbaugh line on Fluke, or the "voter fraud" in Florida, which is actually an attempt by the state to purge thousands of LEGAL voters. But he is nowhere near as bad as the radio shills who plaster the airwaves all day and night, clear-channel and megawattage. Example: last night the same shrill whiner (forgot name) was virtually across the dial, bashing Wisconsin workers, supporting Walker, shouting about voter fraud in Wisconsin - when in fact the GOP has been pulling MASSIVE election fraud from Florida to Ohio TO THEIR OWN PRIMARIES. RNC Chairman Reince Preibus complained about "voter fraud" in Kenosha County, but the locals are quite perplexed about his demagogic claims. These people are PAID by a vested-interest conspiracy between corporations and inappropriately big government, (as in the Medicare D program). While shouting about radical unions being bussed in from out of state, walker has been paid, and spending, what? 15 times? 30 times? - more than Barrett - much of that from OUT-OF-STATE!. (And the DNC only helped Barrett with $1 million). Walker TV ads LIE - he said he created 30,000 jobs, when the Bureau of Labor Stats shows he LOST 33,000. (He promised 250,000 jobs - ha!) If people are allowed to be duped by this conspiracy all over again, it bodes VERY TRAGICALLY for our nation - AND THAT MEANS YOU. So please do whatever you can!
