(no subject)
Ok so yea I'll update you guys on my most recent hobby. Well to recap on what particulary my 'hobby' is. Well me, Jay, Danish, Alex, my cos n some other peeps have joined this deaf bball team in chicago. I participated last year but it wasn't that much fun. However, this year its much better.
Our first game was last week Thursday. Alex didnt showup n some of the others players didnt. However, me, Danish, Jay n my cos did. We only had 4 players at the time so we picked this other black guy who had already been at the park. He's tall, about 6'3, and he's pretty skilled. But 1 disadvantage was that he was a ballhog.
The game was pretty intense since all of us played the whole game. We chose a 2-3 zone over man to man so we wouldn't get tired as easy. The game was pretty much even most of the way except at 1 point or another we were leading by almost 10 pts! Our team was pretty competitve considering how fucked up our team was last year. Speaking of fucked up, i fucked up. Im a bit embarrass to admit but i did score a point for the other team. I rebounded the ball after a foul shot and then intantly put the ball back up. I wasnt thinking. I looked around and noticed everyone was shocked. Some just laughed n some were covering their mouths. Oh well it wasn't the end of the world. Their were many errors during the game. Mostly, passing. Some of the passes went outta bound or got away n eventually stolen by the opposing team. Anyways, we went into double overtime and lost by 1 fucking point! Well it wasnt a major lost and it was just our first game. This week were gonna win period. (I'm praying...)
If anyone wanna come watch us play we're playing this thursday at Brands Park at 7. The addy is 3259 N. Elston Ave. Its near Belmont and a block from Addison. Its a high gang-related area lol so just be COOL. So yea if your bored Thursday n wanna do something then come n watch! We need fans too!
