No posts for weeks and now overload

I'm sitting listening to the heavy machinery that is desperately trying to relocate the large tractor-trailer that has been blocking our drive for the last 4 hours. There is some hope we won't need the 4WD to get down the hill in time for tonight's movie-fest with B's sister and his son. (We already had to go cross-country once so I could get the weekend orders to the post office barely before closing time....)

Our older and extremely right-wing though pleasant-enough neighbors have been doing massive remodeling of their yard, installing an enormous pond and waterfall system that they've decided to fence in. This entails putting in two gates so we can get up the shared driveway to our house (we're at the end of a private road). They are planning to relocate the road to our drive come spring, but in the meantime it's been a wild party of contractors, trucks and day laborers. Looks like that won't end any time soon. Should be really interesting when we come back after 2+ weeks away to see what has transpired. maybe I can get pictures.

Meanwhile, Thai food! And Will Smith as the Last Man on Earth.
