I feel tech-y, oh, so tech-y
Finally tackled the issue of reconnecting the now obsolete TiVo machine to the television and home theater controller without impacting the new DVR or the existing DVD connections. Cleverly, we had a VCR attached that we haven't been using, so mostly it was just a matter of transferring the cables from that machine to the old machine. After some fumbling around over which inputs were needed for the video and audio connections, I got the system set up so we can access the remaining recordings on the old machine...the last half of BSG, Rome and a huge chunk of Heroes. We might get caught up!
In other news, too much time spent on trying to help my virtual sister-in-law develop a budget and understand Mr. Micawber's rule of thumb about not spending more money than you make. Yesterday the more reliable s-i-l came over and we did her taxes.
Now up to ljs' homage to "Postern of Fate" in her wonderful "Investigations and Acquisitions" and am eager to sit down with season 1 of MI-5 aka Spooks, which I was forced to order so I could visualize additional characters. It arrived yesterday.
After 10 days of yoga, I'm giving myself today off. I hope you are being equally kind to yourselves!
