1. What did you do in 2008 that you’d never done before?
Went to university.
2. Did you keep your New Years’ resolutions, & will you make more for next year?
My resolution has been to lose weight for the past few years & this year I mostly certainly did not keep it! However, I will endeavour to keep it next year, I’m quite determined this time.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Yes, Jemma!
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Not anyone really close but I know of some people that died.
5. What countries did you visit?
Only places in the UK.
6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
Motivation for a healthier lifestyle.
7. What date from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, & why?
21st September, moving down day for Freshers at university & the start of my new life!
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
I’ve been getting 2.1s so far at university so that’s pretty cool, but also feeling like I’ve done some good for the kids when I worked at the Lea.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Putting on loads of weight, sigh.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
The flu & some colds, a few cuts & bruises, nothing major.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
XBox, some other things.
12. What was the worst thing you bought?
Well, we worked out how much money I’ve wasted on cigarettes over the years that I’d been smoking & it turned out to be thousands of pounds, so probably fags!
13. Number 13, anything unlucky happen this year?
I got clamped a few weeks ago. :\
14. Where did most of your money go?
Drink, food (at uni), fags, petrol.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Eddie Izzard, university, the Olympics in Beijing, the future.
16. What song will always remind you of 2008?
Guru Josh Project - Infinity 2008 & loads of other songs that are constantly played in halls.

Fatter, dammit.
18. Richer or poorer?
Poorer - I’m a student these days, no full-time job!
19. What do you wish you’d done more of?
Eating healthily & exercising, sorting myself out so that I didn’t leave certain areas of my life in such a mess.

Wishing bad things upon other people, hangovers, spending money on shit I don’t need.
21. How did you spend Christmas?
With Claire & my parents in the morning, then with Mum & Dad in the afternoon & for most of the rest of the day, finally at Daniel’s in the evening.
22. Did you fall in love in 2008?
Too late for that craziness.
23. What was your favourite TV programme?
Watching X Factor as a hall was great fun.
24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
As I’m sure I’ve said a thousand times before, hate is a very strong word. I don’t really hate anyone as such, but there are definitely certain people that can go fuck themselves. :)
25. What was the best book you read?
Frankenstein has been pretty awesome to be honest - I read a lot of old Stephen King books that I hadn’t read before & also a new one: Duma Key.
26. What was your greatest musical discovery?
There have been many this year, especially when I came to university & going out clubbing, listening to the latest tunage... I realised that Iron Maiden aren’t so bad & The Script & Dispatch are pretty awesome too.
27. What did you want & get?
Uggs, XBox, money, the beginnings of a higher education.

A dog!

The Dark Knight, Mamma Mia! & Hancock.
30. What did you do on your birthday, & how old were you?
21 & I got drunk in Reading.
31. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Having people get what’s coming to them... & maybe also not being such a stupid bitch at times.

Mine, as always.
33. What kept you sane?
Thoughts of my so-called ten-year life plan. It’s gonna be great.
34. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
I guess I haven’t really thought about it too much but there are definitely some pretty people out there nowadays.
35. What political issue stirred you the most?
Obama & the US presidential race. So exciting!
36. Who did you miss?
I don’t really know, myself sometimes (haha, emo); when I went to uni I missed my friends, my parents, Eddie.

All the lovely uni people!
