[ There wasn't a smile on Laura's face as she walked over to the gates and looked at Vergil. She opened the gates just enough to let him in and tilted her head. ] It took you less time to get here than it did when I requested a world-hop.

[ Once he was inside the gates, she closed them behind him and started walking towards the main mansion. ] This is an institute for people like me.. We do not have a place in this world. Humans are afraid of us because we are different. There are many out there who have not been saved by Xavier or the X-Men and there are some who have been taken under the wing of the Brotherhood. And there are those who do not choose a side.

Xavier is the founder of this school.. You could say he is a hero, but anyone on the X-Men are considered hero's as well. The Brotherhood is filled with mutants that would be considered evil. They want to destroy humans instead of living alongside them peacefully as Xavier is trying.

[ Once inside, Laura started heading towards her room. They made their way through various hallways, corridors, until they came to the dorm room that belonged to her. She only used it to store her belongings in. She opened the door and slipped inside to grab Vergil's jacket. ] Here.

What do the X-Men wish to achieve? World-peace and oppose all those that threaten it?

To train young mutants to use their powers to better humanity.. We protect them.

[ Laura wasn't always the good guy - she was often the bad guy when she was only X-23. She couldn't even remember how many people she killed, but she remembered the important ones. ]

This mansion is the only safe place that a lot of people have - some were abandoned by their parents when their powers developed, some were dropped off, some were even to be killed because of their powers.. Many of us lost our powers in the tragic events that happened not that long ago. [ His tone lightens some when he was asked about what makes him different from humans. ]

Years ago, I would have told you that I am demon, and denying the fact that both human and demon blood courses through my veins. I am a hybrid; son of a human and a demon. Apparently, I inherited a little human heart and demonic strengths and powers.

I am with the X-Men and I serve no one - we are part of a team.. Something that I am unfamiliar with and have a hard time following. I get into trouble because of it, but they understand that I am use to fighting alone.

[ Laura got quiet when he started talking about how he was different. ]

A hybrid.. Does this give you more advantage than a full blooded demon or are you in between human and demon?

Yes, I understand that teamwork can be difficult. I, too, prefer to fight alone. The little knowledge I have on my world and the demonic history behind it required some guidance, I will admit. The only time I will be willing to cooperate with another for as long as they are useful to me.

...I would say we were more intelligent than your average demon, but we are just as powerful, if not more so, because of our father. Most - if not all full-blooded demons are mindless drones. All except for Sparda.
