I finished reading it, too, but after about 30 of them I thought "I bet X" where X is exactly what happened.

All of the characters were pretty unsympathetic.

Yeah, they were kinda dicks and I did know what the ending was going to be (one way or the other) but I enjoyed the storytelling a lot.

I read to about 140 before I skipped to the end, because the title had not been relevant for a long time.
