So the Franz Ferdinand Fan Club magazine thingamajig is having a fanart “contest”, and I’m probably going to submit a few things.

I’m starting to get more into shading with colored pencils, and I was trying something artsy here with the blue and red… This is actually much darker than the original drawing. My scanner is crap, so I’ve had to adjust it a lot.
There are dozens of things wrong with this-for one, the left side of his face (his left, your right) should be way darker-but any more tinkering and I’ll ruin it. Anyway, I kinda like the grayish, statuesque quality of it. Alex is the Greek god of sex, after all.
I’ll probably also have a go at Nick (GET IT? IT’S A DOUBLE ENTENDRE) but I’m too lazy to do the whole band (AGAIN HAHA). If I could draw cartoons my life would be a lot easier.
