My company hates me.

I swear, I don't know why I am still here. Let me fill you in on the situation.

I have been here for about 3½ years and for the past 3 years of that I have been doing recruiting for our offices in The Phillipines. Ever since I started that position I have been having the hardest time having this company even remember I am here.

Here's a list of the things that I have put up with:
1- I have had my desk forcibly removed by other projects due to them not knowing I was sitting there at LEAST 20 times.
2- I have had computer problems many times that take forever to fix because the night IT guy doesn't care and no one during the day seems to ever see my ticket.
3- It is, apparently, physically impossible for me to take a paid vacation.  I tried once, they deducted my saved hours, but never paid me for it.
4- I am, technically, a part of recruiting and since I started there has been at least 8 Recruiting Managers, only 3 of which knew of my existance.
5- Of those three, none of them seemed interested in helping me with any of my problems.
6- The Manila recruiting manager has hated me since the day she started the job for no reason and has made it her life's goal to get rid of me.(more on that later)
7- I have been here for well over three years and have yet to receive a raise.  They did finally review me for one in December, I was denied for reasons of End of quarter budget being low and they didn't want to spend any more money.

There are a few more, but I'm sure you get the picture.

Anyway, let's take a look back at #6.   The girl over there is retarded.  I am honestly surprised that she hasn't run that department into the ground...while on fire...upside-down.  She makes the worst decisions, like randomly passing people through without following all the steps of the process.  Or making no less than 8 people come in and get paid for 4-6 hours on a Saturday to sit there and wait for one applicant who may or may not actually show up.

Once again, anyway...

She finally succeeded in getting rid of me.  I have been replaced by a Voice-Recognition software that, from what I hear, doesn't actually work.  It passes the bad apps and fails the good apps, and that's when it's working.  It is a web based program and their internet goes down at least 15 times a day.  So yeah, good choice Narda.  Oh, and get this...I was just told that after they pass the Voice Rec part, they then talk to someone to test their English.   HA!  That was what I was doing!  Holy crap, Narda!!  Were your parents siblings?!

So, now I am still in the same company, even though they didn't make the right decision and give me a semi-lateral transfer to recruiting, or supervisor or anything like that.  They bumped me down to agent.  That sucks.   So right now I am in training for Dell Tech Support.  I am sorta ok with this, but at the same time...the whole reason I first took the recruiting job was so I wouldn't have to actually talk to a customer.  But, I get my A+ certification(assuming I pass) and I don't have to pay for it, that's a plus and they are paying me more than I was making before which is really good. :)

I was originally supposed to go over to the X-box Tech but their call volume wasn't nearly as much as they were expecting so they had to cancel the class, in fact I just found out that they are probably going to cancel the project as a whole.  hmm...maybe it's a good thing I didn't get that one.  heh.

So, here I am training for Dell...whee...   I just took my first A+ test and passed it!  yay!   I have been stressed all week, because we had one week to learn what normally takes 6 months, or so.  Somehow I managed to scrape by, and now I just have one more A+ test to take this Friday and then it's just the Dell procedures and whatnot to learn after that, which is cake.

Ok, that's a good enough update for now.

I'm still getting used to being up with the Daystar...it's weird.
