In recent years the American populace has decided that the Christmas season isn't about Christmas anymore. Everyone gets all up in arms whenever you wish someone a 'Merry Christmas' because *gasp* They might not celebrate it! So now the PC thing to do is to wish everyone a 'Happy Holidays' because it will then include everyone who doesn't celebrate Christmas and wish they did, or those who only celebrate it when no one is around. I would go more into this and how it shows how we, as a country, are retarded. *Political correctness still offends me* But, it's the Christmas Season so I have decided, for once, to be totally PC and go the way of the general public.
