For such a still night the echoes in her head were intangible yet thundering
She struggled with great difficulty to remember even what the word "conscience" meant
Somewhere she had a foggy even distant memory that one was supposed to feel regret
Within her soul however there was none
All that remained was the passionate and overwhelming ecstasy that prevailed after each encounter with the shadow beast
And from there with joy and bliss she rushed to her hunter to overshadow his consciousness to haunt and mystify him
In his world she was the phantom…the mystical creature that mesmorized and awed
The power as he ripped from his swamp world creatures their life and blood….which she extracted and consumed
She would "hear" from the shadow beast wild laughter and melody like a mad orchestra conductor wielding his inspeakable symphony
A private party of the chosen whisped away to the horrific bliss
It was hard to believe there was a time when she would have been guilt ridden…but that girl is no more
This night she was their conduit …frantic ..back and forth between the two
In the mirrors of her world she saw radiance and brilliance blinding
