Boringest ever day at work....must be because its before the holiday weekend (so slow) and I'm excited for the con so seems even slower.
To pass the time I was filling out a meme stolen from lastmehina

Name Ten Favorite movies (in no order)
1. Miss Henderson Presents
2. Ladyhawke
3. Princess Bride
4. Waking Life
5. Harold and Maude
6. Mulholland Drive
7. Bringing Up Baby
8. Breakfast on Pluto
9. Eat Drink Man Woman
10.Horseman on the Roof

Of these films, tell us which one would get the award for:

1. Best female character: Maude (but I'm a sucker for cheery old ladies) from Harold and Maude
2. Best Male character: Mouse from Ladyhawke.....the talking to God is just marvelous
3. Favorite actor: Cillian Murphy from Breakfast on Pluto (quite a change from 28 Days Later and Scarecrow in Batman Begins)
4. Favorite actress: Dame Judi Dench (Miss Henderson would be a close second to Maude for above)
5. Best Casting: Andre the Giant as Fezzik. You really couldn't get someone else.
6. Favorite comic role: Maude or Susan both have the same type of fun in Harold and Maude or Bringing Up Baby
7. Best costumes: Breakfast on Pluto, though Miss Henderson Presents and Horseman on the Roof are also up there.
8. Best Score: Miss Henderson Presents.
9. Best location: Mulholland Drive and Horseman on the Roof tied
11. Best guilty pleasure: I pick good movies as favorites so there really is not any on my list above, but I do have some, Hackers comes to mind. Heck it even has Penn in in it!
12. Best romantic couple: This is hard because a bunch of the couples are good for different reasons. I'm picking David and Susan from Bringing Up Baby for their screwballness.
13. Most Romantic Scene: There is two that strike me and neither is sexual. Heh. The dancing on the roof at the end of Miss Henderson and Angelo saving Pauline in Horseman.
14. Best villain(ess): Betty in Mulholland Drive.
15. Best lines: Well, Princess Bride is full of the ones you hear quoted all the time. But all my other movies have lines that are fantastic. I'm going with Miss Henderson's "my dear, never interrupt a perfectly good argument"
16. Best Twist: Eat Drink Man Woman when the father announces him and the friend of the family are getting married.
17. Best action scene: Fencing scene in Princess Bride without question
18. Best mystery: Waking Life (is he dreaming or dead?)
19. Most scary: There really isn't any though both Muholland Drive and Waking Life are more than a bit eerie
20. Most funny: I can't say it would depend on my mood.

Then some bonus questions?

1. What genre is seen the most on your list? Well made films.....
2. What are some things your films have in common? See above.
3. Which film needed a prequel? Need is a strong word. Horseman on the Roof might be interesting to see Pauline and her husband's earlier life together.
4. Which film needed a sequel? None
5. Which one would you change the ending for? None
6. Which ones would you like to cross over? Um.....I hate to sounds broken record-ish but None
7. Which film did you expect to hate but loved? I did not expect to hate any of them, but my mother took me to see Waking Life without me really knwoing anything about it so I did not expect to like so much.
8. Recast the cast of one to your dream cast? If I liked them as is why would I recast.....
9. Book you most want to see made into a movie and join that list? Red Tent by Anita Diamant
