What I got
I got my early birthday present from wickedthought already. It's a Wii!
I have wanted one since I heard that they are making a Animal Crossing for it; man, I love that game. Turns out that there are so many more fun things to play on it. Including, oh wow, I found a Mariokart I can actually play. I have never been good at driving games but the simplicity of tilting a controller to turn makes me a competitor to fear. Bwahahahahaha. Also, knowing me so well, he got an Agatha Christie mystery game that is pretty neat. Little arrow controlled most of the time to point at what you want to look at. Every once in awhile it goes to a close up view that means you use the controller in say, the motion of shovel to dig something up or in a spiral to turn a fruit press. There are some improvements I would make to the mystery game but its still really neat and supposedly a series so they might get better.
And best of all are the games you can play together.....so yeah you, wickedthought just wait until I get better at billiards and tennis! Grrrrrr.
