Like that
Reading a collection of short stories tonight called Burning Chrome. Its the third book from an author recommended to me by a friend who shares my liking for cyberpunk. It is William Gibson, I've been told kind of the orignator of the genre. And wow. The more I read the more I like. Neuromancer and Count Zero were really good. But this one story in Chrome has all others beat, its called Hinterlands. Some of it is the imagery, some of it is the characters, and some the ideas, but its just a short story and packs such punch. I'm going to read it again tommorrow after letting it sink in a bit. Right now, I am thinking..I have to practice until I can write like that.
