Two weeks already?! But yes, it is another major weekend of socializing what with my two role-playing games on the same weekend.
House of the Blooded went great. Lilly joined us this time (I realized I knew her just by another name so neato) and we went to Lady Sharra's party. I got to use my high society contacts so that was fun. I think I shall start playing matchmaker and working on making my great-nephew a bit more presentable as projects for Niassa.
Gurps was fun too. We ran this obstacle course that was crazy. I won, so my heat got beat by a WOMAN. Bwahahaha. Before that, we also had some group combat tatics, which we won as well making our second platoon second squad get even more recognition. Not too much longer in boot camp and we'll get out to actually working as mercs and see some beasties. That'll be great for Ptek's armoury and weapons making.
In between these delightful pastimes was a Dark Ones party and a special event. Hobbits was the theme, though what with wearing my Docs I decided not to wear the provided hairy feet. Next time! Good food, good friends, as always fun. And in doing the special event I met some of Budd's serving staff. Pretty cool gals and Andrew (the one guy we brought) was very funny. I can see why customers love him. Heh.
Lastly, semi-ironically, we are heading to Prescott most likely, again. Matt, Az Jvp, asked Budd to go again and well, it is a step up. I am not overly fond of the idea of leaving the valley. Of course, I can tell myself it's about growing up here and moving away from one's family for the first time would make anyone nervous. But it is only an hour and half at most. And the 'rents do have a guest room (perhaps every other weekend I'll come down for games). *small sigh* Time to look for rental properties up there again.
