I'm still here
So yeah wow, lots of lightning storms to kick off monsoon in Phoenix this year. :) It has been wonderful and I am spending time out on my balcony counting the miles between where they strike and us. Yesterday one struck really close like less than a mile. I was out so saw the flash and heard thunder at same time and it was very very bright. Budd guesses the field out beyond our apartments maybe. Anyway, the breakers in the complex were jolted and loss of power followed about a minute after that strike. We only were in teh dark for about five minutes so it was more fun than trouble.
Congames (in leiu of going to my annual but now dying con Hexacon) is this weekend so I will have some excitment there.
Lastly, my friend John just found out his father has brain cancer which I know has got to be tough. I don't pray but hey anyone of ya who does keep him in your thoughts, k.
