I've been offered a three-month contract gig at Boston Scientific as a technical writer for their regulatory group. I should start late next week, assuming the background check and the pee test go through without a hitch. If the contract goes well, I may convert to a full-time position.

I'm relieved beyond words. Even it it ends up just being for the three months, this is three months of steady work at slightly higher pay- allowing us to build a reserve up for the jobhunting time on the other side of it.
