*tired*

It was a hellishly busy weekend- not a bad busy, just a busy-busy. Ethan came home and we celebrated- this is the 2/3rds mark for his first Rochester block, he'll be home full-time in 5 weeks! I can't wait...

But he's starting at the Mayo on Monday; we had a lot of shopping and prep stuff to do, get some new dress shirts and shoes, haircut, shave, that kind of thing. We'd ordered some suits a week or so back from Jos. A. Banks, and while we were out shopping I stopped in and persuaded the salesman to expedite the tailoring; he offered (mirabile dictu!) to FedEx them down to Ethan in Lanesboro, so he'll have them this week, with any luck.

We decided to splurge and had a Massive Date on Saturday. We went out for kickass Thai food, then went to the Cirque du Soleil's performance of "Kooza". Wow. Just... wow. We had excellent seats- row E- and being that close was phenomenal. The Wheel of Death was breathtaking to watch (hot shirtless guys doing risky things...duh) and the contortionists bent in ways human spines should not be able to. Totally worth the price of admission!

We've decided that Supatra's Thai Cuisine is our new favorite Thai restaurant- we decided to buy her cookbook (available on the website too)- I love Thai food but have had difficulty balancing the spicing when trying to make it- there's an extensive ingredients list in the front, which should help tons. mmmmm. Thai food... especially with all the produce floating around the apartment right now, having new ways to prepare veggies will be quite welcome.

In CSA news, we had a mild issue with the boxes again this past weekend, and I called and talked to the CSA chica- to discover to my surprise that she’d not registered us. She had been holding our checks ‘until she got it figured out’- she’d never sent me the paper registration form, and she did all the counting and boxing based on those. There had been enough people not picking up their produce that she’d not figured it out. She’s finally gotten it all sorted out this weekend, but I’m not terribly happy with her- thinking we may try another farm next season, while I love the CSA concept her execution is not that good. Or, as Sally put it, “we need to find us some better-organized hippies.”

I'm off work early tomorrow to so follow up with the sleep specialist. I may be dragging a CPAP home afterwards.
