It's a nice quiet cool October day... perfect for doing homely stuff. I got up and worked on the Gingerpeach Commission socks this AM while watching anime. One of my friend's mother's friends was poking around on my flickr account and saw the socks I'd knit for my Mom for Mother's Day, and decided I needed to make a pair for her daughter out of the same yarn. "Gingerpeach" is her daughter's nickname. After some guilt-tripping and browbeating, I agreed.

I'm not terribly keen on this project, although I love the yarn and the pattern is one of my favorites; I'm really, really worried about sizing. Judy knew her daughter's shoe size, but then offhandedly remarked that her daughter's feet swell a lot. I'm using the Slipped Stitch Rib pattern because it has a lot of stretch to it, and I'm hoping the foot dimension's correct. I'm into the heel flap on the first sock now. They're going well, and I cringe at the thought of ripping them because Judy gave me the wrong size.

I may work on Ethan's sweater today, but I've a crapload of cleaning to do and I've been thinking about baking lemon sugar cookies today; the WoW guild is also gonna give Karazhan another crack today and hope we have the manpower to do it tonight. We tried last night and could only scrape up 8/10. After we called Kara off, five of us decided to do a heroic-level Mechanar run. It was hella fun, and we only wiped twice; after I logged off (insanely tired, as I'm fighting a hideous cold) our shadow priest (guild lieutenant) was very surprised to hear that was my first heroic-level run ever, let alone with my recently-respecced priest. Ethan mentioned that I may be tapped as a main healer for our guild's Karazhan runs, which would be a huge prestige thing for me...Especially as the healer I'd be replacing would be the dweeb I mentioned in my last entry :)
