I seem to have found a new outlet for battling depression. It's buying yarn. Ethan better watch out.
I started out so innocently, really. I've been thinking about learning to knit socks. It seems like a nice, small, portable and practical project type. I started by researching the best-rated sock yarn (figuring if it's good yarn, at least I don't have to fight both a new process and inadequate yarn) and I ended up ordering six balls of sock yarn from
Lorna's Laces in the colorways of Tuscany and Tahoe (they're arranged mostly alphabetically behind the link). Tahoe is a variegated yarn all in the most delicious-looking blues and purples and Tuscany ranges from a rusty red through a sage green to a medium blue. Gorgeous. A tad pricy, but I think I will more than get a) entertainment value for the money and b) some hella cool socks to wear with my Doc Marten Mary Janes.
