visits and treading water
Dave and Nancy came down to visit us for the last two days- we did a little sightseeing, ate a lot of good food, and talked a ton- it was great to see them. We visited the Pabst Mansion (http://www.pabstmansion.com/) and did the Sprecher Brewery tour (http://www.sprecherbrewery.com/index.php) before settling down for a fabulous dinner at Umami Moto (http://www.umamimoto.com/).
Treading water? Still waiting to hear if Ethan is getting the home store or not. I didn't get the contract gig, which was sort-of good in that it eliminated a source of difficulty... but knowing we may be moving makes me a bit concerned about trying to jobhunt any further in this area. The area manager is now talking about a trial period now, so it's a point of irritation.
So I'm trying to lose myself in what I can do here and now, and not worry about what may be coming down the pike until the exit gets a bit closer. Lots of knitting, exercise, guild leadership and housekeeping, more-or-less in that order. :)
