For Justin and Robert who haven't gone to Taiwan before
This is my "don't be afraid of...____fill in the blank____, they're everywhere" list for you guys. actually u might already be on the plane by now but here goes.
1. small cars (its just more convenient to park in the small streets)
2. girls who look effing hot from the back, but when u look at their face they look like ur great aunt agatha (i congratulate taiwanese hairdressers for doing a good job of illusion-work)
3. mopeds (u learn to love em. fun to drive too)
4. cars with weird names (like the Delica -_-)
5. ugly, angry people (the taiwanese race is a very ugly and angry one. if someone yells at u, its their way fo saying hello)
6. unclean bathrooms (get used to it. QUICK)
7. tall buildings (taiwan builds up, not out like the US)
8. the smell (get used to it. QUICK)
9. loud cellphones (There are a lot of neato ones here)
10. the heat (airconditiong IS YOUR BEST FRIEND. u'll find urself walking into girl stores just for the AC)
11. bad english (self explantory)
12. cheap stuff (i bought 3 caps for $1.50 each!)
13. crazy drivers (i've seen 2 ppl die already from auto-moped accidents. but crazy also in that they're awesomely good. the taxi drivers especially)
14. cool taxis. (spoilers higher than yours. and underglow lights. one of them i sat in had subs) a lot of them are lancers (not evo) and there's like 20 million of them. its basically the equivalent of the camry. but better looking
15. cheap food (its the best)
there's a lot more.
i'll see u guys (and every1 else going) tomoroe night i guess. i'm taking the train to tao yuan. and then spend the night there. then...tomoroe hour drive to taipei to meet up. hope its a blast.
on a happier note, i bought a soccer jersey. same one david beckham wears. and 2 ferrari caps. my aunt bought me a really expensive watch. $100 US about.
