Fuckin' Xbox 360, how does it work?

Not very well.  My system is broken, and attempts to revive it have only make it more broken-er.  Did I mention that most of my modern game collection is Xbox 360-dependent, and that I just received two games from GameFly that I'll never be able to play?  All righty then.

*nods* Yeah...it happens. I'd ask the usual barrage of questions but it's not like it matters. Sometimes 360s just die and other times I wodner how they're still alive (The Dudley User and his housemate have a bad habit of leaving their consoles running for HOURS without use. Sometimes falling asleep/passing out with it running. They're STARTING to show a little ware but they're still GOING).

Well, in all honesty this was a pretty old unit. A launch window Xbox 360 that functioned as long as mine did would probably deserve a shout out from Al Roker and Willard Scott on The Today Show.

I'm not giving up on it, though! Right now I'm planning to throw out the X-Clamps and replace them with good old fashioned washers and screws. I also did the oven fix (!!!) and it brought the system back to life, albeit very briefly. Mofo, you'll work even if I have to go to the underworld and dip you in the river Styx.

My 360 died 5 months after purchase due to some non-red-ring error. The refurb one they sent me to replace it makes obnoxiously loud noises when I play most things and ESPECIALLY obnoxious noises when I play Orange Box. I mostly use my brother's XBox to preserve mine, though I'm thinking at this point I might just get an Elite and see how long my current one lasts by giving it to my sister and saying when it eventually craps out on her. Better a questionable XBox than none at all, right?

I think your problem is going to be the army of zombie XBox you're fixing to create. That's right, an army of one, but an army nonetheless. ;)
