Ultimate Skills and Camping

This past week I was very *cough cough* sick. I was so sick I had to go to North Carolina to go camping with U-Life to fix it. hehe. This past week I went to Pisgah National Forrest to camp with U-Life. We left wed night and drove to SC to spend the night at Ande's dad's house. It was a long night. I shared a room with Christy, Kelly, and Ande. Ande snores very loudly. :) The next day we finished the drive up to the park and found a great campsite, affectionately named Camp Tanurd. After we set up camp with a bit of rain we went up to Devil's Courthouse. We were hoping to get above the clouds of Cindy to see something, but it was very foggy and cloudy so we didn't get to see anything terribly exciting. On the way back Ted and AJ decided they were going to run part of the way back and somehow convinced me to go with them. We ended up going 6.5 miles. It was a long run, but it was good. My legs have never been so sore in my life, but it was definitely worth the run. That night we had a fire and talked. Friday we got up early and went on a hike to upper falls. It was a good hike despite my almost face plant in the mud. hehe. After our hike we went back to a swimming hole with a rope swing. The water was very cold. That night we had a fire again and talked some more. Saturday was pretty much the same thing. We hiked to Davidson falls and went to coontree swimming hole in addition to the one with the rope swing. It was an awesome trip and I had a great time getting to know all the people who went a little better despite being sick...hehe. BTW, they never said anything to me at work about my illness, so that was good. :)

I am getting ultimate skills. I can actually sort of throw a frisbee with some degree of accuracy thanks to Ted. He helped me out some on the camping trip and this afternoon. I'm excited about having skills. It makes playing so much more fun. Now I just need to work on reproducing the throw and finding the right throw motion (the one where you do it and exclaim "that's the one!").

PS - I got out of work early last night and it was the greatest thing ever...well, almost. :)
