Im not sure if I have talked about how my actual project went or not on here, I think I did, but now that I've thought about it more, it's just as well that I skipped a lot of stuff because being off notes made me talk slower anyway, so it took me exactly 10 minutes like it was supposed to to do the presentation.
Now for the interesting thing. To call myself a clutz would be an understatement. You can keep a running tally of the number of dishes I've broken in the Dining Hall so far in my UConn career, it is now standing at 2, one was a glass full of orange juice, and the other, today, was a plate with potatoes on it that fell while I was geting soup. Both times I was careless in setting my tray down while I reached for something, in one case the chir, in the other the soup ladle. I am thankful that nothing that was on my tray hit anyone, I would hate to think of what would happen if someone got hit with flying shards of plate from my tray, although sadly it's bound to happen some day with the walking accident that I am. You can include chemistry equpiment in this total too and run it up to 3, since I broke a large test tube opening my drawer a couple weeks ago, but that was simply a coincidence, not of major importance.
Im so excited for Christmas Carol, I just hope that I can adiquately remember the music that I'm supposed to be playing on the trombone, and the words I was supposed to have memorized this week but had not the time or the energy to do so.
I came up with an idea based on one of the Christmas Carol songs that might work if I can find another singer to do a duet with; I would be interested in doing one with "Child of the Poor" as written in the piece we are singing in the choir, since I feel it is a pretty song and worthy of performance. The only thing I have to do is figure out the chords and a good way to play them, besides of course finding someone who would be willing to sing with the biggest screw-up in the last coffee house, but it can't hurt to ask if I can get everything else together beforehand. If not, I could always just do it solo, although its not the same with only one part.
