Looking ahead...
Well, Happy New Year to you and yours. Hopefully your year will be as good or better than the last. It was good to spend New Years with my wife, in good health and happiness, with good friends. It just doesn't get any better than that.
As for me, 2007 brings exciting new possibilties for your intrepid Norf Sider. I'm pondering a trip down to New Orleans for Mardi Gras, joining the contingent of Guardian Angels coming from around the country to assist in keeping the peace. Granted, I always envisioned myself going down there to encourage all those drunk women down there to earn some beads, as opposed to discouraging them, but still, it bears the benefit of crossing off one of the things on my so-called "To-Do" list, plus provides me with valuable experience for a future in Law Enforcement. Of course, it's all pending with spousal approval, but I'm confident it will be granted. Plus, the usual hopes of getting into the gym on a regular basis to get myself back into the lean, not-so-mean fighting machine shape I was in during my youth, hopefully a new vehicle, and even more hopefully, a new job, preferably in the Criminal Justice / Law Enforcement field.
Well, let's see if I can't get off on the right foot this year...
