hair- of course
Many interesting things have been happening lately. I suppose the most important is the show I am doing- South Pacific. Im sure many of you are already sick of hearing about it. And today I declared my refusing to look polynesian with dark hair/tan skin by booking an apt for a "virgin bleach and tone with accent highlight". Yes, I know it sounds scary-even to me. I told me mom it will help me 'get into my role" which is kind of bs, i just love changing my hair. Also, I am finally starting to work out. Last night I made a step in the right direction by buying three pound weights to use with my pilates video. Kevin bought five pounders, he just about died. So, when not rehearsing for the show, I will be bugging lynn to work out with me, cause Ill be damned if I have to wear a swimsuit onstage without toning up. Mostly Im just worried about wearing shorts, things I am never caught dead in in public. Work is good, very slow. There are five student employees in the office in the morning, and then 3 in the afternoon. The 2 other girls and the rest of the Admission staff is gone at lunch so Im alone at the desk. Today I turned down a $75 singing engagment and later finding out I would be paid $75. What am I doing instead this weekend? Being 'volunteered' by my director to work at her pregnant daughter's barn dance way out in the sticks. I dont believe I actually agreed to it, but somehow now I am obliged. If anyone knows how to do the boot scoot boogie, lemme know cause I cant get it from the directions they sent me. I wish lynn would come and visit me :(
