Roadtrip day 2
After a slow morning, largely due to the presence of Sky and therefore Nickelodeon, we took ourselves into town to explore Kelly Tarltons. It's changed a lot since I was there last, and was pretty neat. The feeding of the stingrays was pretty impressive.
Then we decamped to Auckland Zoo, which is just as nice as I remembered. We really tired out the kids (and us) by wandering all over the place.
We were pretty tired by this stage, so a quick detour to pick up some new toothbrushes (you always forget something) and then back home to organise ourselves for the evening's dinner party. It was lovely to meet friends we haven't seen in years, and serendipitous timing as N&K are leaving for Alaska today and R only returned from the UK on Thursday.
Then to bed, and now we're going to try to organise ourselves enough to get out of the house and hit the road North at a reasonable hour. The only problem is they're showing Deltora Quest on Nick...
