Scary Truths
Last night my friends and I were watching the Democratic National Convention at a Lebanese restaurant in Toronto. The speeches were - as Democrats tend to be - about helping others, national unity, fixing the economy and restoring our place in the world. My friend Vega turned to me and said, "Are Americans so scared of the gays that they are willing to vote AGAINST that!?"
