Wow haven't posted in ages, time for a quick catch-up.
I've been working here in the office. Not terribly exciting really.
I've been to Calgary every weekend but one since I've been here. :)
I've been going to the gym, just to use the climbing wall, and am slowly buying up climbing gear. Hurrah for MEC. I feel stronger, but I think I need to go to the actual gym too.
This weekend I am earning some extra money. :D Tonight I am ushering here at the theatre. For that I will be an actual paid employee, not a 'workstudy'. Yay $10/hr for ripping tickets.
Saturday I am getting up at an ungodly hour to get into a car with our head stage carp and go to Lake Louise. There's some thing (no clue what) going on at the Chateau that needs two follow-spot ops. They normally call us for staffing issues like that, as we're a theatre. This Saturday everyone is working. Almost everyone. So they're getting someone good (head stage carp with 20+ years of theatre experience) and me. I have never operated one of these so-called contraptions before. But Saturday I will be, for 8 hours at $18.00 an hour. For $18/hour I can learn anything. Plus, it's something I've wanted to learn, and the Centre won't let me. So I say ha! to them, and go and get paid on my day off to do it.
I am getting a 10-minute quick course in spot op tonight, before the show.

I have also been knitting. See my gallery of stuffs! The socks are close to done. I hope to finish them Saturday, as although I'm working for 8 hours, it's a 4 hour shift, 4 hour break, 4 hour shift. Next is a lace scarf/stole thing for mum for her birthday. Ordered the yarn off eBay and it hasn't arrived. We're getting down to the wire here, in knitting terms. A lace stole in a month? mmmm, iffy. Note to self: research lace knitting after posting.

I kinda have internet at home. Stealing someone's wireless signal, and it's very weak, works about 50% of the time and is very slow, so I don't bother too much. Right now I have my laptop here at work, which works very well.
