So, part of having a house in town is that the kids can have their friends over. :) this is a good and bad thing. More good for them. I guess. I seem to have picked up an extra kid. Kayla's new best friend Quin, had been over every day after school. Apparently he is the only kid she has found that has similar interests (in this case video games) He doesn't have Warcraft yet, but she has found a friend who shares her love of Tribes2. Heh. She is very disillusioned with the girls there...she was the second fastest in their Mile run, and the ONLY girl who actually RAN the mile (the others didn't have outside shoes for running. ha.) Quin is FAR from athletic, but Kayla has made it her goal to teach him soccer. Anyway, he comes over everyday after school and they do homework together and then play video games or go play soccer in the park.
Good day today..discovered that with Lots of TV, using a trip to the park as a bribe I can get in about 2-3 solid hours of work time WITH morganne here. ha. Not enough to work full time, but as I am scaling back my work it may be enought. Anyway, did that and then ran errands which meant walking to the bank to deposit a check (allways good!) taking a couple cd's to the post office to mail. We stopped at the coffee shop for a mocha for me and a hot cider for M (which they just gave her, and didn't charge me!) Then it was almost time for school to get out so we met the kids at school. They had homework, so I gave K the key and they went home. We went to the park for about an hour of swinging and sliding and sand box fun (god I hate the sand box). Home past the goats (there is a house that has 3 miniature goats in the yard. We stop on our way home and poke weeds though the fence for them). anyway, it was a great day. I hate going to the park, but have noticed that I feel SO much better after the walk, fresh air and sunlight. Hoping I can continue making my self do it when it gets cold.
OH! and yeah, I don't have all the photos yet, but I talked to my dentist today, and he sent me a copy of this phone book ad
