Who: Anyone with access to the Slytherin common room.
What: Random interaction in the Slytherin common room just because they can. (And because Britt is bored!)
When: November 1976.
Where: Slytherin common room.

This was usually the time Narcissa would spend in the silence of the girls' dormitory with a book from the library or a pile of her school work. Everyone was usually sprawled out across the common room, chatting with friends after filling up on food from dinner. However, tonight she didn't feel much like being alone. Recent events had everyone riled up and more tense than ever. So, she took a seat on the surprisingly unoccupied sofa (the seat was still warm, so it had obviously just been vacated) and stared thoughtfully at the flames climbing the walls of the fireplace.

Her mind was a million places at once, all of her thoughts leading back to questions she didn't really want answered, but thought about all the same. How much longer could they go on like this? Fighting not only with the other houses, but amongst themselves as well? She hated admitting it, even if it was only to herself, but the tension in the castle left her feeling uneasy. After all that had gone on at breakfast, new questions had started forming in her mind. Look at Richardson, she thought to herself. She's Pureblood and she's dating a Slytherin who doesn't have any problems voicing his anti-Muggleborn views. Most of the Slytherins had accepted her into their lives as Walden's significant other, yet Mulciber didn't seem to bat an eyelash before going after her. She thought about Andromeda and wondered what would happen the next time she voiced an unpopular opinion or if someone were to find out about that Muggleborn she has seen her sister talking to. She couldn't help but wonder if they were all as safe as they seemed to think they were, if their blood and their last names held as much weight and protection as they once did.
