So yea gotta love it when you have managed to fight the cold that has been coming for two weeks, just in time to get sick the weekend before your work sample, which that weekend you have to come up with all the lesson plans that you are going to teach for your US.
I spent most of the weekend lesson planning and being sleepy and drugged and actually sleeping as much as possible. I got through the basic lesson planning, but all the prep work and power points and worksheet making and copying to do still remains. Plus I had a mountain of grading I was hoping to get to that I didn't.
Today I gave my kids the pretest for the worksample (= more grading for me boo!). We also did a activity that allowed them compare time finding sorted and unsorted objects.
Of course all those plans I wrote this weekend, already useless because we didn't get through everything we were supposed to today, and so things will shift into tomorrow and beyond.
On a different note, I know my CT has different expectations and is only trying to help when she steps into the classroom management side of things, and yes I was not as loud or forceful as I can be due to my diminshed sick voice today but I am really tired of her stepping into my lessons and the class like that when I am teaching, but oh well, it's a much smaller intrusion than I have heard other teacher talk about.
plans,
