Forboding Monday/Unintentionally Screwed Over by CT

Feb 09, 2009 20:00

So first period went well, which was to be expected, and the rest were ok, finishing within the period at least.

However, 6th period, the largest class that we need to do 5 presentations in each day just to finish it this week, and how many did we do.

1 yea, just one.

Between absences and kids being taken out of class, and I don't have its just the one.

And on top of that, we have a lock down drill tomorrow scheduled for...you guessed it 6th period, so I can kiss that goodbye as a productive session.

My CT is saying that at this rate we will be doing presentations up until science fair (that is THURSDAY) next week!
No sorry that's not going to work. However she did mention that some kids if they are that late may just not get a chance to present. And that's how I would have set it up originally, if you haven't arranged extra time to present later with me ahead of time, meaning more than 24 hr ahead of time, then I'm sorry if you aren't ready when your name is called (especially since you have known about it since the first day of December) then no presentation and you loose those 30 points. It's out of 265, granted it will take you down to a B but it won't completely kill your grade. Plus she/we give them plenty of opportunities to fix things to get full credit, as well as multiple extra credit routes.

However there are small miracles. Today I was given the teacher's edition of the book we are working out of so now I can actually start to plan with some knowledge and ammo. I also swiped the transparency/handout binder that went along with it. :D
