(no subject)
So I've been at my school 2 days with the kids now. And crazily enough I already have a kid that has a crush on me.
I have only seen the morning, but it's nuts, the periods which are 45 minutes fly by. I have 4 periods of 7th grade science in the morning. I believe that there are 3 more in the afternoon. But just in my first 4 morning classes are about 80 kids. The wierd part is that the class sizes are really unbalanced I have between 18 and 28 and it kinda bounces between smaller classes and larger classes with more boys.
So far they are working on Newton scooters and newtons laws of force and motion. Soon they will be starting chemistry :) after they finish their common assingment/work sample for the year.
I'm interested to see how things go over the next week, which is really all I'm here for and even then, just for 3 days. I don't know that I really will develop all that great of a relationship, and then when I start back in January, I pretty much get observed by my CT or my US every week till the end of my placement.
My CT has been pretty good about answering questions and helping me out and explaining how to do things, and she introduced me to all the classes too which was cool. I am hoping to try and get down names for these 4 classes before the break so that way the afternoon isn't too hard to add to that for when I am back.
