Admin: Tagging Posts, AO3, a Question and Tony Stark
Tagging Posts: EDITED TO REFLECT NEW TAGGING SYSTEM
Posting starts in a couple of days, so this is just a reminder that each post should have four tags:
- Author
- Fandom
- Day
- Year
There are tags set up for each day and for 2012, and this post is tagged with them, so they're good to use and should be visible to everyone.
You can use the day tag in two different ways. If you post a story on the 1st and then one on the 9th, you can either use the 'Day 9' tag for the second story, as you posted it on Day 9, or you can use the 'Day 2' as it's the second day you've posted a story. It's entirely up to you which way you use the tag.
For the fandom and author tags, there are also 'author: i need a new author tag' and 'fandom: i need a new fandom tag'. Please use these where necessary and I'll add new tags in as needed.

It's entirely a personal choice if people want to use it, but it's there for those that do.
A Question:
On the subject of tagging, how many people use the day tags for searching? We're getting closer to the tag limit for the comm, and I'm wondering if we really need the 'year: day' tags, or if it's worth splitting them to 'Year: 2012' and 'Day: 01' etc, thereby only needing one new date tag each year instead of 31.
