Summary: Robert had never really fit in.

Robert had never really fit in, not in school where he was to serious, to focused on science to ever be one of the popular people.

Not in university where his intelligence was finally normal, his membership in the Navy setting him apart.

Not even in Navy, the closest he’d ever gotten to a family, he was to quiet, not matey enough, just…different.

And now he refused to add something else to the reasons he didn’t fit in.

Robert was gay. He’d been happily in denial, deep, deep in denial thank you very much.

That was until he’d met Buffer. Buffer was just about as male as it was possible to get, well muscled and stoic and to all appearances completely straight. That didn’t stop Robert from wanting to fuck him though.

Not that Robert was planning on trying even if Buffer wasn’t straight, coming onto a superior officer wasn’t exactly the most sensible thing one could do.

So he was left with an identity crisis and his right hand. Joy.

Not that even that was easy on board ship, shared bunk space and zero privacy made for difficulty in wanking.

So just as he had as a teenager Robert had ended up in the shower, a cramped closet like room with barely enough room to properly extend his arms.

He lent his head against the wall, water forming a curtain around his face as his hand worked along his cock.

He’d always left his imagination out of wanking, just focusing on sensation and touch but now images kept forcing their way in.

The flex of muscles in Buffer’s forearms, the bare lines of his chest, the easy smile he so rarely used.

Robert came against the wall with a muffled groan. He was so screwed.
