Oh, cripes, perfect, perfect telling of this. (I almost didn't click because I thought you were speaking of Fables, the comic, which I haven't yet read! Then I saw the ellipsis and question mark and the pairing and got it.) I love the barrio mouth on the kid (and the "dude, totally go get a bite--or some liquid courage,"--ha!), and the idea of Geb as Amory's bitch (and everyone's, heh!) not only speeds up my pulse, it sends my brain imagining that Amory's eventually gonna say, "All right, knock it off, he's mine, got me?", and wondering how Amory and Geb's relationship is going to mellow from there, and you did all that just with these two characters in under 700 words. God, you are good.
