A fun filled day!

Nicole is definitely a water baby (…err toddler)! Her favourite session at school-water play; her favourite sports-swimming and she also prefers taking a bath (mainly bubble bath so that she can play in the water for a longer period of time) than a shower. We have not brought her to swim for ages for she falls sick ever so easily whenever she returns from a swim session and she has been having runny nose/cough (on and off) for the past few months.

So when we received mengchoo's invitation to attend Macy’s birthday party at Wild Wild Wet, I was crossing my fingers that she won’t fall sick the two weeks leading up to the party date and thank goodness, she didn’t! We even armed Nic with a thermal swimsuit and a flask of hot milo to keep her warm throughout so that she can enjoy herself at the party.

For some reason, Nic knew that we were going to the party that very day and woke up like 6.45am (to get herself ready?)! Oh man, I could still do with another hour of sleep… The first stop for the day was Changi Village for our breakfast before heading to Macy’s party.

Nic was raring to change into her swimsuit and charge into the water after greeting the hosts. Looked like Mong’s choice of party venue was a heaven to the kids, all of them enjoyed themselves tremendously…just looked at the kiddos photos at mengchoo’s and angeliatay’s sites.

mengchoo, thanks again for inviting us to the party, Nic really had a swell time at the pool and napped for a good 3 hours to charge her depleting battery! If not for us having to run some errands in the late afternoon, she would have napped longer.

Hey pal, thanks for the invitation

Participating in the telematch
(I found that Nic is not very interested in this telematch like other kids or rather that she was very distracted by the lure of the wave pool)

On our way back, hubby conveniently bought an Emi durian cake off the rack (from the Emi shop located at the entrance of WWW) for me because it was my birthday that day too, how ‘romantic’! Anyhow, at least he still remembers my birthday and even planned for a dinner date. No venue was mention, so I guessed he wanted to surprise me only for me to find out from answering a phone call (for he was driving) from Ellenborogh Café of Merchant Court to confirm the dinner reservation… …

Initial plan was to cut the cake after Nic woke up from her nap but as we were running late for our errands, we decided to do it after dinner. I must say dinner was fantastic and I really gorged myself silly…gluttony-one of the seven sins…ohhhh but who cares it my birthday! We were so full that hubby said cake has to wait till next morning to which I fully concurred. So we just ended the day with some photo taking of me making my birthday wish and (Nic) blowing the candle.

Early the next day, Nic remembered the un-cut cake and insisted its her birthday too, so she went around scouting for her ‘3’ candle (which I have kept from her last birthday) and decorated my cake with both my and her candles plus the ‘Happy Birthday’ plastic wordings. She completed the whole act of singing the birthday song and cake cutting for its her birthday (too)! *LOL*

So its durian cake for breakfast, tea breaks and supper for us for that day! Comparatively, so far Goodwood Park Hotel serves the best durian cake, followed by Angie's the Choice then maybe Emi.

Happy Birthday to me…
