Will Somebody Think of the Landlords

The CBC for some unknown reason decided that they’d make a highly biased piece for us to pitty the poor landlords selling their rental properties, upheaving the lives of their tenants, and throwing them in to a brutal rental market in Toronto, and then get angry that the tenants demand financial compensation because how dare they have rights.
There are a lot of tired landlord quotes in this piece but the underlying truth is that these people are leeching off of the salaries and lives of others as “an investment”, then when its time for them to make a load of money from the tenant who has been paying their mortgage and hoof them out in to the street, start crying when concequences hit.
Their “small” landords are also rather interesting, the teacher who has a flat on Queen West is no doubt up to make a fucking bank off of that. The area is ultra premium price, so yeah she can afford to compensate the tenant for selling their home right under their feet.
They tried to frame the tenant organisation in a negative light, and honestly, in this whole sham of a landlord wank video he’s the only one who doesn’t come off as an asshole.
