In 2.5 days I will have completed my first semester as a teacher. The past few months have flown by so incredibly quick that it's hard to believe Christmas is in a week. Speaking of Christmas, I will be in Michigan from December 24th-30th and then again January 5th-7th. I'd like to see friends...some of whom are missed tremendously and some who just give really good hugs, so give me a call so we can make that happen.
I've been done present shopping for several weeks now...the perks being that I avoided most of the really crazy crowds and long lines, but the downfalls include buying more stuff because I still have time, getting anxious about giving the presents and also how annoying its going to be to have to pack all of those presents and fly them home with me...plus nothing can be wrapped until I get home.
On a slightly different note, yesterday I spent several hours on a blanket in the middle of a large park downtown Nashville. I read, I watched children and puppies and ultimate frisbee-ers and LARPers (Live Action Role Players). I even got a bit of color on my face from the gorgeous sun. And as I was lying there with the 75 degree air surrounding me and the sun shining down, I had the hardest time wrapping my mind around the fact that it was indeed December 17th. So weird.
Well, this has turned out to be a pretty pointless post, but I was in the mood....
I hope all of you find yourselves well tonight.
