I can't believe he's gone. For years I've said "He'd better not ever die, because who else is going to give me the news?" As if Chuckie Gibson or Brian Rooney could come close to filling his shoes. Damn it.

I'm just glad his battle was brief and that his end came with his family around him, peacefully and without pain.

We'll miss you, Peter. Big time.
