Post-Vacation Tidbits
Well, I am back from vacation. I went back to East Texas to spend time with family and friends. There were a couple of mishaps, but nothing terrible. I was pulled over by a female county patrol officer and was issued a warning. (I was doing 80 in a 70.) This was the first time in my life I've ever gotten a warning...I was thankful indeed. Then after being in Longview a couple days, I had to take Chelsea to the vet. She had fleas and was having an allergic reaction to them. But other than that, I had a marvelous time! The older I get, the more I appreciate and enjoy my time with my family and friends.
When the time came to go back to work, I was actually looking forward to it...and for those of you who know me, you know what a shocking comment that is. It was very gratifying to get to work and know that I was truly missed by my co-workers. The person left in charge to handle my duties screwed some things up and everyone was ready for me to get back to put it in order again. You know, the sad thing about it, is that the person who was taking care of my things has worked here for 15 years; I have only worked here for 3 years. Wow.
