Pre-made. I definitely want to try making my own, but for bentos, pre-made is way easier. I've been trying out different brands, and they are all pretty good so far.
also, been meaning to ask, do you have any suggestions on picking out bento boxes? There aren't any shops which sell them locally, so I'm stuck with ebay or somewhere else online. Any suggestions?
For eBay, I like The Bento Store and Nagomi Inc. They have great selections and have reliable shipping. JBox.com is also a great source that I have bought from. As for what type of box, I would recommend a 2 tier box, but there are a lot of nice single tier ones. Make sure it is microwave safe if that is important to you. The box will be a lot smaller than you expect, but you'll be able to fit a ton of food in it!
Thanks! And the diet shouldn't suffer too much. Did you know that you can lose weight just by splitting up your usual meals over the course of the day? My trainer tried to get me to go to 5 small meals a day, but 4 is definitely the best I can do. :) I need to lose some flub before weddings in May!
