There are a lot of reasons for packing bentos aside from the cuteness factor. It is generally cheaper and healthier than eating out at work. And if we do end up eating lunch elsewhere, then the bento makes a great 4pm meal to stave off the hunger pangs before I can get dinner on the table (which is usually past 8pm on most nights). Also, I am just personally not a fan of sandwiches. My husband is good about making sandwiches for lunch, but I just don't like all that bread! I definitely prefer rice. :)

Thirteen so far. Probably won't collect many more, as I have what I want to make nice meals and take pretty pictures. I've been looking for some antiques, though.
