I have been so wiped out this week! I really need some sleep... Another simple bento, as it is all that I can bring myself to do. :P
And for those of you who asked about the heart-shaped egg that I posted last time... I used the mold pictured to the right, which I bought from The Bento Store (which is closed until June). I hard-boiled some eggs, then ran them under cool water just to cool them off enough for me to handle. I peeled the eggs, popped them while still hot/very warm into the mold, snapped on the lid, and then put the molds in the refrigerator to cool off. I've seen some directions where the mold is submerged in cold water, and others where you don't have to cool off the mold at all, but this method works for me. After about 10 minutes or so, you pop the top off the mold and your molded egg slides out. It is pretty nifty! As I mentioned before, you need large/x-large eggs for the molds to work best, as smaller eggs will not fill out the mold completely (my star egg turned into just a sort of flattened egg with squiggly edges).
